High pressure will build into Acadiana this weekend behind a slow moving low pressure system in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico.
This system will keep Florida wet and unsettled through Sunday and because it's slow-moving, it means high pressure will be slow to move out of Acadiana.
This means after some patchy morning fog early Saturday, look for mostly sunny and pleasant conditions for our Saturday with highs likely in the upper 70s.
Easter Sunday should be nearly as nice with partly cloudy skies early yielding to mostly sunny skies for the afternoon.
Highs Easter should be in the lower 80s.
Warm weather will continue next week with a fizzling cool front engendering additional clouds and very slight rain chances Monday into Tuesday.
The rest of next week appears quite warm with highs in the low-mid 80s through Friday.
Look for more clouds and milder temperatures at night toward Festival International along with gusty southerly winds.
next best chance of showers and thunderstorms could come next Saturday followed by fair and slightly cooler conditions Sunday.
