Autism Society of Acadiana is hosting the 2012 Walk for Hope and Family Fun Day on March 31, 2012. The walk is from 9:00am to 12pm at Parc International.
Autism Society of Acadiana is once again presenting the 6th Annual Walk for Hope and Family Fun Day at Parc International in Downtown Lafayette. The one-mile walk will bring thousands to the downtown area and will kick off a morning of wholesome fun for the entire family. Immediately following the Walk families and their children will be entertained by: a balloon artist; face-painting activities; fun jumps; a fun slide; a rock wall; video gaming activities; bubbles; a DJ; art and craft activities; working with build-n-go kits from Lowe's; carnival games and more! Food and soft drinks/water will be provided to all registered Walk participants and Walk volunteers. This event will also jump-start the Autism Society of Acadiana's recognition of April as Autism Awareness Month for which this year the focus will be how to prevent bullying. An anti-bullying seminar will be presented on April 24th at River Oaks, Kaliste Saloom Rd., Lafayette. To register online for the 2012 Walk for Hope, click here.
