The Lafayette Parish School System in partnership with Lafayette Courtesy Buick GMC has recently launched TerrainGiveaway.com for the second consecutive year to award one school a prize valued at over $25,000. Students and teachers from participating Lafayette Parish public schools submitted funny, creative and unique videos about why their school deserves to win a 2014 GMC Terrain.
Participating Lafayette parish schools include Acadiana High School, Carencro High School, Carencro Middle School, David Thibodaux STEM, Ernest Gallet, Green T. Lindon, Judice Middle School, Lafayette High School and Westside Elementary. The public is encouraged to vote once per day for their favorite video. Voting will conclude on April 7th, and the school with the most votes will win! Second and third place winners will receive a scholarship donation.
"Our students and faculty have enjoyed producing the videos and we are so proud of the school spirit that is generated by such a project. The prize of the Terrain is definitely an incentive and we are appreciative of Courtesy GMC's support," said Angela Morrison, Director of Community Collaboration & Partnerships for LPSS.
