A gumbo cook-off will be held on Baker Hughes Drive from 11a.m. for Veterans.

Today at 3p.m. there will be a service at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
In new iberia on main street, Veterans will be honored with proclamations, 21 gun salute, a flag raising and prayer service at 6 tonight. Charles Boustany will be the guest speaker.
Also in Crowley at Southwind Assisted Living, a ceremony starts at 1:30p.m. and a number of restaurants are offering specials to Veterans including Chili's, Shoney's, Applebee's and Texas Roadhouse.
