UPDATE: According to Captain Megan Vizena, Tyrone Keith Johnson has turned himself in.
An Opelousas man is behind bars accused of principal to attempted second degree murder, while one suspect is still at large.
According to St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office Captain Megan Vizena, today, James C. Hudson was booked into jail for principal to attempted second-degree murder in a shooting that occurred on May 11, 2014, on Sam Street in Opelousas. The alleged gunman, Tyrone Keith Johnson, 31, remains at large.
On May 11th, detectives received a complaint that a male subject was being treated for a gunshot wound at a local hospital, according to Captain Vizena. Hudson drove Johnson to the 100 block of Sam Street to confront the victim, stated Vizena. After a brief verbal altercation, Johnson allegedly produced a pistol and began shooting at the victim. The victim was able to escape and was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
