UPDATE: Former LA Policeman Charged With Trafficking Children For Sex

UPDATE: Williams turned himself in to the Calcasieu Parish jail last night at 8 PM.


Eric Williams has been issued grand jury warrant for one count of indecent behavior with a child with a bond of $250,000 and one count of trafficking of children for sexual purposes with a $750,000 bond. The combination of the bonds is $1,000,000.

He is confirmed to have been a reserve officer with Vinton Police . He is also confirmed to have served as a police officer with Welsh Police Department. The chief sayshe started working there July 3,2007 and is still employed part time by Welsh Polic, but because of the pending investigation. He is not being utilized at this time. He served his last part-time shift in December 2009.


Former LA policeman charged with trafficking children for sex.

Sheriff's deputies say a former Louisiana Police Officer wanted for trafficking children for sexual purposes may be in Orange.

Eric J. Williams, 24, last lived on Ridgemont Street in Orange, TX. He is charged with 1 count of Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes and 1 count of Indecent Behavior with a child.

Williams has worked as a reserve police officer for the Vinton, LA Police Department and as a full time officer for the Welsh, LA Police Department.

Bonds totaling $1,000,000 have been set for Williams.
