Update: Eight homes evacuated after explosives found in a vehicle

Update: Eight homes have now been evacuated on Briarfield Drive after two explosive devices were found in a truck. Deputies say they do have a suspect under arrest in connection with this case.

Deputies say they were involved in an ongoing narcotics case in the area and saw the truck leaving a residence involved in their investigation. The deputy pulled over the driver on a traffic stop. The deputy then says he saw what he thought was two pipe bombs in the back seat; the suspect allegedly confirmed that.

Right now deputies are waiting for State Police's Hazmat team before they proceed any further. Parents with children who can't get home because of the road blocks are being asked to pick them up at Autumnfield Road and Winnfield Road. Both deputies and school officials should be contacting those parents affected.

Three streets in the area--Bajat Road, Joli Road, and Briarfield Drive--have been closed while officials conduct their investigation.
