Lydia Drop-In Craft

Join Lydia Library Staff on November 16th between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Lydia Library to make a Fall placemat for the Thanksgiving holidays. This is the perfect opportunity to let your child get creative and experience your local library. All ages welcome. For more information, call the Lydia Library at 337.364.7808.

Loreauville Kissing Mistletoe Ball Adult Craft

Join the Loreauvile Library staff on December 2 to create a Mistletoe Kissing Ball. This craft is perfect to decorate with for the holidays. Just drop in anytime from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and get crafty. Supplies are limited, and on a first-come first-served basis. If you have any questions, please contact the Loreauville Library at 337.229.6348.

Local Prints Art Exhibit

Camille Ackal is a native of New Iberia. Throughout his life, Ackal has made, collected and participated in various processes related to the visual arts. His exhibit will feature images that were produced and designed as triptychs, and taken in Paris, France, Santa Monica, California and, most importantly, in New Iberia. These triptychs are collages or the repetition of a single image. Visit the Main Library on December 4th at 6:00 p.m. to see the magnificent beauty of Ackal's photographic collection. Light refreshments will be served.


Gingerbread Children's Workshop

Chef Blake Payne from Cypress Bayou Casino will be joining us for a very sweet children's gingerbread workshop on Thursday, December 5 at the Parkview Library starting at 4:30 p.m. Children ages 4-6 are invited to attend this program. Space is limited and registration is required. Beginning on Monday, November 19 make sure to call the Main Library at (337) 364-7024 to register. This workshop is sponsored by Cypress Bayou Casino.


Create A Card Adult Workshop

Kate Ferry will introduce local adults ages 18 and older to the artistic process of card making. Kate will teach attendees how to make Christmas cards that will brighten anyone's spirits for the fast approaching holidays. The techniques learned in this class can be applied to all card making. Attendees will learn about visual layout and letterpress, a printing technique still relevant today. To register, please call the Main Library at (337) 364-7024.
