University Hospital & Clinics (UHC) has announced that it is enhancing its cardiology services through a partnership with the Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS).
CIS physicians are offering a clinic-based consulting practice with access to UHC's cardiac catheterization lab. CIS faculty, working with LSU Health Sciences Center and Lafayette General Medical Center, will also be training residents.
"We are excited to see services improved at UHC, as well as better opportunities for our residents and fellows," says Larry H. Hollier, M.D., FACS, Chancellor of LSU Health Science Center New Orleans. "The kind of progressive partnership represented here benefits all of Acadiana."
