United Way of Acadiana Dedicates Staff Offices in Honor of Longtime Executive Director
Lafayette - Dedicated, persistent, and happy are three words that come to mind when thinking of longtime United Way of Acadiana Executive Director, Arthur H. "Happy" Bryan.
"Happy" Bryan served United Way of Acadiana for twenty years (1970-1990) and contributed more than fifteen million dollars to benefit community programs within 42 non-profit organizations.
Because of his unwavering commitment to United Way of Acadiana and Lafayette, staff offices at the United Way of Acadiana Multi-Tenant Center were named in his honor today. Friends and family gathered to pay tribute to his service.
"Happy Bryan considered the opportunity to serve others in need as a privilege," stated Margaret Trahan, United Way of Acadiana President/CEO. "He LIVED UNITED long before the slogan was ever put into words."
His name, Arthur H. "Happy" Bryan, Jr. was permanently etched on United Way of Acadiana's administrative door and was unveiled as part of the ceremony.
