In compliance with the directive from the State Division of Administration, effective Friday, Jan. 24, at 12 a.m. (midnight) the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will close.
The University expects to resume all normal operations on Friday, Jan. 24, at 12:30 p.m.
The State of Louisiana called for the closing due to potential hazardous driving conditions and scattered power outages that are forecast for the morning in our region.
Residence halls are fully staffed and secured for any students who live on campus and choose to remain on campus.
University essential personnel are expected to report to duty and should contact their supervisors for further instructions.
Please continue to monitor information on the University's hotline, the Emergency Notification System, official University social media, or the University website for official updates.
