Two St. Landry School Board Members Indicted

Two St. Landry Parish School Board members accused of trying to sell votes in a superintendent search have been indicted on federal bribery charge.

Quincy Richard and John Miller are charged with one count of criminal conspiracy to commit bribery and two counts of bribery.

They are accused of offering Interim Superintendent Joseph Cassimere there votes in exchange for $5000 each.

Cassimere, who is a candidate for the superintendent's job, notified the FBI, who, according to the indictment, sent Cassimere to meet the pair and pay them the money.

If convicted, Richard and Miller face up to 15 years in prison and fines up to $750,000.
