Two booked on drug charges in Abbeville

Two men were arrested in Abbeville on drug charges early Monday after police responded to a complaint about a vehicle engaging in illegal activities on private property.

According to the Abbeville Police Department's Facebook page, the complainant told police that there was a vehicle parked on the complainant's property that was not supposed to be there. The caller also said there was possible illegal activity taking place.

When officers arrived, Marcus Nixon of Jennings allegedly had 59 individually packaged bags of marijuana. The other suspect in the vehicle, Bryson Willis of Abbeville, reportedly had an outstanding warrant for possession of cocaine.

Willis was booked on the warrant for cocaine possession, while Nixon was booked for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and synthetic marijuana.
