Although it never posed a threat, Tropical Depression 2 officially fizzled out into a post tropical system Wednesday morning.
After a rough night for the system moving through unfavorable conditions only minimal convection was found, and had lost a center of rotation.
What's left of Tropical Depression 2 will be moving through dry conditions, and the water vapor imagery shows that dry air infiltrating the system itself, a doomsday scenario for tropical systems.
Although it will continue producing thunderstorms and higher seas the remnants will eventually wash out, and doesn't look like it will restrengthen.
