NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Traffic in downtown New Orleans is starting to get back to normal now that the Super Bowl is over.
Preparations for the game had included barricades on Poydras Street, a major thoroughfare near the Superdome, and the closure of sections of other streets near the stadium. The closures caused some delays for the Crescent City's downtown commuters in the days leading up to the game.
Poydras lanes were re-opening Wednesday night. And a Poydras exit from Interstate 10 also was re-opening.
The Superdome exit from 1-10 eastbound and some other streets around the dome will remain closed until Feb. 13.
