According to school officials, Broussard Middle School administrators were informed this morning that a student had written on a bathroom stall's wall that there was a "pressure-cooker bomb" on the school's campus.
Students were immediately taken off of the school's grounds and brought to a safe and secure location. Broussard PD, the Lafayette Sheriff's Office and Haz-Mat are currently checking the entire Broussard Middle perimeter for any potential threats.
Again, no students were harmed and all parents have been notified as to the exact location the students were moved to.
More information will be released as it is made available from the Police Department.
