Our first tropical depression of the season has formed near the coast of Florida and will hold there today. Tropical Depression #1 has winds near 35mph. It will gradually move northeast along the Atlantic Coast and should become Tropical Storm Arthur later today.
Here at home, hot and humid weather continues. Temperatures today will climb into the low to mid 90s with a heat index near 100. Mid 90s are expected Wednesday. Showers and storms will return Thursday.
Today, partly cloudy with a high near 93, heat index near 100.
Tonight, muggy, lows, near 75
Wednesday, partly cloudy and hot, highs near 95. A slight chance for afternoon storms.
Thursday, mostly cloudy a 50% chance for storms, highs near 93.
Later in the week, a front might pass though the area bringing drier air to the region for the 4th of July.
