Temperatures will be as low as they've been in Acadiana in over a decade.
They're many people in this area who have no way to stay warm.
A cause for concern--especially for the elderly and disabled.
"People get chilled when they're elderly they get chilled and that and that may give me hypothermia"
Claudine Irby lives alone in her trailer.
To make matters worse her home has two shatters windows, a leaky roof, and a busted door.
"I didn't think it was going to get this cold, I don't think most of us did and i'm really not enjoying it at all," says Irby.
Fortunately she just received her own space heater thanks to a local non-profit agency.
The Cajun Area Agency on Aging serves as a go-between for those in need and people who want to help.
But supplies are running low.
