Sunny skies and seasonably cool temperatures are expected for Acadiana's Tuesday as high pressure builds into the region.
This high pressure system will also allow for breezy conditions during the afternoon with northerly winds near 12-20 mph occasionally gusting to near 25 mph.
High temperatures Tuesday will range mostly in the mid-60s.
Look for fair skies and chilly conditions as winds diminish Tuesday night into Wednesday morning with lows ranging in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Temperatures will be chilly enough for the possibility of a light frost mainly north of the I-10 parishes early Wednesday morning...so you may need to cover the tomato plants!
Seasonably cool conditions will continue Wednesday with clouds moving back into the region for the afternoon.
A series of disturbances will traverse the region Wednesday night through Thursday night engendering the chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms through the period.
Temperatures will be warming to near normal later this week with mostly sunny skies and spring temperatures likely for the weekend.
Highs this weekend into early next week will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s...and finally, a nice weekend for a change!
