Sunday fire kills Shreveport man

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A house fire has killed a 25-year-old Shreveport man.

City fire officials say John Johnson was among four people in the house when the fire broke out early Sunday. The other three escaped through a bedroom window.

The fire was reported about 3:30 a.m. by a caller who said a car in a carport engulfed in flames, which were spreading to the rest of the house.

The fire heavily damaged the home, destroyed one car and damaged another.

It also killed a dog.
