Sulphur man accused of stalking

A Suphur man is out on bond after being arrested for stalking a woman police say.

According to police, on March 6, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint from a woman claiming Robert L. Bergeron, III, 46, had been sending threatening and intimidating phone calls to her since February. Bergeron had allegedly followed the victim home from her job on several occasions.

After further investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Bergeron, and on March 12, Bergeron was located and arrested without incident, according to police.

Robert L. Bergeron, III, was was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of stalking and released on a $20,000 bond.
