Strong winds move through parts of Louisiana

JENNINGS, La. (AP) - Strong thunderstorms caused damage in different parts of Louisiana overnight, but no injuries were reported.

A line moved across southwest Louisiana downing trees and power lines.

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles reports a tree fell on a house in Jennings and power lines were down across the parish as the stormed pushed through late Sunday night.

Meteorologist Andy Tingler says a crew will be sent to Jennings on Monday to survey the damage to see if it was caused by a tornado or straight line winds.

In northeast Louisiana, meteorologist Joanne Culin says wind damage was reported in Morehouse and East and West Carroll parishes. Trees and power line were downed.

Culin says a tree fell on a house north of Oak Grove causing minor damage.
