Hot and dry weather continues this weekend with low dew points today, but humidity will creep upward Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will stay above normal with highs rebounding to near 90 this afternoon. With the lower humidity continuing today, the heat index shouldn't be much of a problem.
Later in the weekend, the return flow will set up over from the Gulf of Mexico. As the wind shifts more from the south, 90 will feel more like 95 by Sunday. At the same time a weak front will glide southeast and eventually stall along the Gulf Coast next week bringing a chance for showers. More significant cold fronts are still in the cards as we move into the next few weeks of October.
