BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The state and a company have settled a dispute over the tolling systems used for the Crescent City Connection bridge and the Leesville Bridge on Louisiana Highway 1.
Both sides said Friday that lawsuits have been dismissed.
Electronic Transaction Consultants Corp. and the Louisiana highway department had been fighting over system performances at the two bridges. The state says it will release $1 million that had been withheld. Another $1.5 million will be paid in increments as the tolling systems meet particular targets.
Richardson, Texas-based ETC also will provide maintenance for the systems.
