There is very little to say about this weeks forecast that hasn't been said already. June can be a slow time in weather labs across the country, and this week will provide a quiet summer forecast.
An extended area of high pressure will have increased impacts on Acadiana so the scattered showers we have had the last few days will be less numerous.
Still though with all the moisture in place and temperatures ranging back into the 90s it would be unwise to rule out isolated showers all together.
Temperatures will be warming over the next few days, and Tuesday's high will be around 92 with mid 90s possible by the middle of the work week.
Keep the heat index in mind as that will start to crawl into the upper 90s and possibly even triple digits.
This pattern will be true through the rest of the work week, and with nothing brewing in the tropics it will be a slow summer week in the weather lab.
