St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Steven Richard, Sr., 33, 1050 James Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 15, 2014 at 9:55 am on a warrant for simple assault. A deputy located Richard at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on the warrant. On December 17, 2013, a deputy responded to a school in the Baldwin area in reference to a child custody matter. During the investigation, Richard threatened the deputy. Richard was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Clayton J. Matherne, 38, 101 Pluto Street, Apt. #9, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 15, 2014 at 10:47 am on a warrant from Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office for three counts of issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Matherne at his residence on the warrant. Matherne was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Randy J. Bourgeois, 31, 117 Jana Beth Street, Houma, LA was arrested on January 15, 2014 at 4:26 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Bourgeois was seen taking a new pair of shoes out of a shoe box and placing the shoes on his feet before leaving the store without paying for the goods. Bourgeois was released on a summons to appear in court on April 28, 2014.

Brent M. Rock, Jr., 23, 320 Chennault Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 15, 2014 at 7:09 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods and on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Narcotics detectives located Rock at his residence on the warrant. Rock was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Justin P. Scarbrough, 22, 1232 Delmar Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 15, 2014 at 7:27 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (offensive language). While assisting detectives with an unrelated investigation, a deputy made contact with Scarbrough at his residence and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Scarbrough was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Dean Aucoin, 44, 358 Hunting Road, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on January 15, 2014 at 7:38 pm on a warrant for criminal damage to property. A deputy located Aucoin at his residence on the warrant. Aucoin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Aucoin was released on a $500 bond.

Joshua Navy, 26, 269 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, LA was arrested on January 15, 2014 at 11:17 pm on the following charges:
Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family
Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family
Resisting an officer, 2 counts
Battery of a police officer
Simple criminal damage to property
A deputy located Navy at his residence on the warrants. When the deputy advised Navy of the active warrants for his arrest, Navy fled into the residence. The deputy pursued Navy and apprehended him. Navy repeatedly pulled away from the deputy during the arrest. At one point Navy struck the deputy on the hand and wrist. Navy was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $13,760.49.
