According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:
High Broussard, 54, Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on January 13, 2014 at 10:07 am on a warrant for hit and run driving and careless operation. A deputy located Broussard at the St. Mary Parish Office in Franklin. The warrant stems from an investigation into a hit and run crash on January 11, 2014 on Chitimacha Trail. Broussard was identified as the driver who struck a side mirror on another vehicle before leaving the scene of the crash. Broussard was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,250 bond.
Addie Guidry, 34, 2478 Sixth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on January 13, 2014 at 11:13 am for theft of goods.
Brandon Barrilleaux, 29, 2478 Sixth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on January 13, 2014 at 11:13 am for possession of Schedule IV (clonazepam) and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.
A deputy responded to a complaint of two suspicious persons at a store in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Guidry had taken an item from its packaging and concealed the item on her person. Barrilleaux was found to be in possession of Klonopin pills. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. During booking, Barrilleaux was found to have additional clonazepam pills on his person. No bond is set. Guidry's bond is set at $1,000.
Sherry Garbey, 36, 12 Chennault Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 13, 2014 at 7:31 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Garbey was seen concealing items before attempting to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. Garbey was released on a summons to appear in court on April 28, 2014.
Bryan J. Johnlouis, 41, 2124 Time Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 14, 2014 at 12:38 am for remaining where forbidden, criminal trespass, and disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject who refused to leave a bar on Highway 182 in Jeanerette. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Johnlouis, and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that after being asked to leave the bar, Johnlouis went to a nearby residence and began banging on a door. Johnlouis was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $2,000.
