According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 27 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Ronald Lumpkin, 35, 117 Robicheaux Lane, Verdunville, LA was arrested on December 4, 2013 at 9:09 am for aggravated assault (domestic). A deputy responding to a report of a disturbance learned that Lumpkin threatened a female victim with a knife during an argument. Lumpkin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Jerry J. Hall, 52, 105 Hogan Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 4, 2013 at 9:37 am on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of no seat belt, driving under suspension, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. A deputy located Hall at the Franklin city courthouse on the warrants. Hall was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Darren Holmes, 54, 1170 Chitimacha Trail, Baldwin, LA was arrested on December 4, 2013 at 7:04 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy responding to a complaint made contact with Holmes at his residence. While speaking with Holmes, the deputy saw marijuana seeds on a dresser. The deputy received consent to search the residence and located a homemade aluminum foil pipe containing steel wool and a black tarry residue. Holmes was released on a summons to appear in court on March 26, 2014.
Barry Ewing, 68, 1219 Highway 319, Cypremort Point, LA was arrested on December 4, 2013 at 1:43 am for possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of Schedule IV (Valium), and resisting an officer. A deputy responding to a medical emergency at the residence listed above made contact with Ewing. While speaking with Ewing, the deputy observed a bottle containing a green leafy substance. Upon further investigation, the deputy learned that the substance was marijuana. Also inside the bottle was a Valium pill. During the arrest, refused to comply with the deputy's orders and pulled away from the deputy. Ewing was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
