According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Heather Guillory, 33, 203 Aristotle Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 21, 2013 at 8:56 am on the following charges:
Reckless operation of a motor vehicle
Possession of Schedule III (Lortab)
Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (trazadone)
A deputy watched a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed swerve onto the shoulder of the road before re-entering the far lane of the roadway on US Highway 90. The deputy conducted a traffic stop in Berwick and made contact with the driver who was identified as Guillory. When asked why she was driving in a reckless manner, Guillory told the deputy she was texting. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located several pills. Guillory was unable to provide a prescription for the drugs. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $4,000 bond.
Cynthia Marie Judice, 26, 301 Cougar Ridge, Lafayette, LA was arrested on October 21, 2013 at 12:48 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Judice was turned in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after learning of the warrant for her arrest. She was released on bond.
Tammy Canty, 47, 1220 Siracusa Road, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on October 21, 2013 at 10:06 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a female subject in a vehicle parked at a business on Siracusa Road. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Canty, and learned of the warrant for her arrest. Canty was released on a summons to appear in court on January 10, 2014.
James P. Voisin, 28, 113 Watson Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 22, 2013 at 2:49 am on two warrants for failure to appear on charges of driving under suspension and having an unlit license plate light. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area made contact with a subject outside of the Plantation Hotel. The subject was identified as Voisin who held two active warrants for his arrest. Voisin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $15,000.
