St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 105 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Brittany Walton, 23, 169 Mallard Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 4, 2013 at 11:59 am for theft of goods.

Alicia Bertrand, 28, 611 Ninth Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 4, 2013 at 11:59 am for theft of goods.

A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Walton and Bertrand were captured on video surveillance attempting to leave the store with an item without paying for it. Both were released on summonses to appear in court on January 10, 2014.

Tommy Mcnally, 43, 1309 Middle Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 4, 2013 at 4:44 pm for theft, simple assault, criminal trespass, and violation of the parish Pit Bull dog ordinance. A deputy responded to a complaint of harassment at a residence on Middle Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Mcnally entered onto a neighbors property without permission and took several pieces of lumber from the home. Mcnally also threatened to let his dogs loose upon a victim. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $2,500.00.

Kenneth Green, 41, 102 Two Sisters Court, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 5, 2013 at 4:29 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area made contact with a subject riding a bicycle on Arlington Street. While speaking with the subject, identified as Green, the deputy learned of the warrant for his arrest. Green was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $8,740.81.

Juvenile male, 14, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on October 5, 2013 at 9:11 pm for runaway juvenile, criminal mischief, simple burglary, and attempted theft of a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a complaint of a juvenile attempting to steal a vehicle. Upon arrival, at a residence on Highway 318 in Jeanerette, the deputy located the juvenile in the vehicle. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

David Franklin, 52, 341 Hunting Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 5, 2013 at 5:17 pm for aggravated assault. A deputy responded to a complaint of an assault at a residence on Hunting Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Franklin threatened a victim with a gun. Franklin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $5,000 bond.

Darin Hannigan, 35, 1300 Burke Place, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 6, 2013 at 12:43 pm on a warrant for theft over $500. A deputy made contact with Hannigan and subsequently learned of the warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation into an illegally cashed check that was reported stolen. Hannigan was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

David W. Johnson, Jr., 26, 111 Shady Grove, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 6, 2013 at 3:29 pm for driving while intoxicated, careless operation, and expired driver's license. A deputy responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Zenor Road in Patterson. Upon arrival, the deputy located the vehicle upturned onto the driver's side. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Johnson. The deputy smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Johnson performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered a 0.22g% blood alcohol concentration on the breathe test. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
