According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Juvenile female, 15, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 9, 2013 at 9:06 am for battery of a school teacher and disturbing the peace (fighting).

A deputy responded to a report of a fight between two juveniles at Patterson High School. During the investigation, the deputy learned from the school personnel that two students were involved in a fight. While breaking up the altercation, a teacher was hit and scratched on the arms by one of the juveniles. Both teenagers were released to guardians pending juvenile court proceedings. The investigation is ongoing.
Michael Charles Lumpkin, Sr., 23, 114 Isabella Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 9, 2013 at 10:08 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I second offense, illegal possession of a controlled dangerous substance under the age of 17, improper child restraint and other offenses. A deputy located Lumpkin on the warrant at the parish courthouse in Franklin. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Demarcus Tremaine Skipper, 18, 1605 Hickory Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 9, 2013 at 3:35 pm on warrants for failure to appear for sentencing on the charges of misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile and theft (under $500). A deputy located Skipper on the warrants at the parish courthouse in Franklin. Skipper was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
