According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 65 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Juvenile female, 16, Bayou Vista was arrested on June 10, 2013 for running away from home. Just before 9 am Monday morning a deputy received a report of a missing juvenile who left her home in Bayou Vista. The deputy proceeded to conduct an investigation into the juvenile's whereabouts including interviews with the juvenile's friends and family. The deputy located the teenager at a family members residence in Morgan City. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Robert C. Beatty, 62, 100 Stephenson Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on June 10, 2013 at 9:18 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person knocking on the doors of residences on Highway 182 in Verdunville. The deputy received information from a State Trooper in the area regarding a male subject who was walking in the roadway. The subject was nearly struck by several passing vehicles. The deputy made contact with the subject who was identified as Beatty. The deputy observed the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Beatty's breath. Following an investigation, Beatty was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $250.
