According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 131 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Kashif J. Wallace, 25, 180 Village Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on May 31, 2013 at 3:38 pm for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of a theft of a lawnmower on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia. Through the course of the investigation, Wallace was identified as the suspect who took a lawnmower fro m the porch of a residence. The mower was located and returned to its owner. Wallace was released on a summons to appear in court on August 23, 2013.
Bernell Rhine, 27, 603 Flattown Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on May 31, 2013 at 5:24 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of careless operation. A deputy was contacted by the Baldwin Police who located Rhine on the warrant. Rhine was transported from BPD to the parish jail in Centerville for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $339.50 bond.
Patrick McEniry, 44, 148 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 31, 2013 at 8:01 pm for simple battery.
Pamela J. Cain, 51, 133 Two Sisters Court, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 31, 2013 at 8:21 pm for simple criminal damage to property.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject damaging a vehicle. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that McEniry and Cain were involved in a verbal altercation when McEniry grabbed Cain and threw her to the ground. As Cain was leaving, she broke a mirror on McEniry's vehicle. Cain was released on a summons. McEniry was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $500 bond.
George Favors, III, 45, Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 1, 2013 at 4:33 am for 2 counts of resisting an officer, resisting an officer with force, criminal trespass, possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia, disturbing the peace by using foul language, battery of a police officer, and obstruction of justice. A deputy patrolling the Siracusa area observed a male subject walking on Grace Street and attempted to make contact with him. Upon seeing the deputy, the subject fled. The deputy gave chase. Upon apprehending the subject, identified as Favors, he struck a deputy. During the course of the investigation, Favors was found to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana and crack cocaine. During the arrest, Favors continuously used profanity in the presence of several residents in the area. Favors was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Jaclyn Nicole Fields, 27, 1606 Cedar Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 1, 2013 at 10:08 am on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of sale of alcohol to a person under 21. Fields turned herself in on the warrants at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. No bond is set.
Caleb Drake West,23, 1088 Sunset Lane, Ville Platte, LA was arrested on June 1, 2013 at 10:01 pm for driving while intoxicated 2nd offense, possession of open alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle, and improper lane use. A deputy responded to a report of a reckless driver on Highway 90 in the Baldwin. The deputy located the vehicle described by the complainant and observed the driver repeatedly swerving onto the shoulder of the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as West. Upon making contact with West, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed an open box of beer inside of the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located an open bottle of beer in the vehicle. West performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered a 0.161g% blood alcohol concentration. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. West was released on a $3,750 bond.
Michael Charles Luke, Jr., 39, 700 A W. Sloan Street, Harrisburg, IL was arrested on June 2, 2013 at 7:29 pm on a warrant issued in Saline County in Illinois for failure to appear on the charges of aggravated battery, unlawful restraint, domestic battery, and resisting a peace officer. A deputy located Luke on a traffic stop on Hwy. 182 in the Franklin area. Luke was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $20,000.
