According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Tyler Voisin, 21, 105 Trevino Street Apt. #7 Berwick, LA was arrested on March 26, 2013 at 11:30 am on a warrant for simple battery.
Tabitha Voisin, 26, 105 Trevino Street Apt. #7 Berwick, LA was arrested on March 26, 2013 at 11:35 am on a warrant for simple battery.
Tyler Voisin and Tabitha Voisin turned themselves in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City after learning of the warrants for their arrests. The warrants stem from an investigation that began on March 24, 2013. A deputy responded to Teche Regional Medical Center in regard to a female subject seeking treatment. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Tyler and Tabitha Voisin had slapped the 21 year old female victim during an argument at a third party's residence. Both Tyler and Tabitha Voisin were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Tyler Voisin was released after posting a $1,000 bond. Tabitha Voisin was released after posting a $500 bond.
Ryan Leblanc, 23, 517 Henry Street Patterson, LA was arrested on March 26, 2013 at 7:09 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista. The deputy located the suspected shoplifter, identified as Leblanc, at Murphy's Gast Station and transported him the to the store. Upon speaking with store security, the deputy learned that Leblanc was observed taking items out of the packaging and concealing the items in his clothing. Leblanc was released on a summons to appear in court on June 12, 2013.
Demetria Francis, 35, 217 Oliver Street Waveland, MS was arrested on March 27, 2013 at 1:58 am for failure to yield and driving while intoxicated. A deputy responded to a vehicle crash on Highway 90 in Franklin. Upon speaking with one of the drivers, identified as Francis, the deputy detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person. Francis performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered a .214g% on the Intoxilizer 5000 breath test. There were no serious bodily injuries in the crash. Francis was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
