St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to complaints and reports the following arrests:

Latasha Lynette Thomas, 25, 606 Sixth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 4, 2013 at 12:10 pm on warrants for probation violation on the charge of issuing worthless checks and on a warrant from St. Martin Parish for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driving under suspension. A deputy located Thomas on Brashear Avenue in Morgan City on the warrants. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Juvenile male, 15, Verdunville, was arrested on February 4, 2013 at 4:06 pm at the SMPSO in Franklin on a warrant for disturbing the peace by fighting and simple battery. Using surveillance video, a deputy investigating a fight that occurred in the Central Park area of Bayou Vista, identified the juvenile male as a suspect. The 15 year old was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Lance Tyler Ashmore, 20, 1108 Chester Bowls Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 4, 2013 at 9:30 pm on Universe Road in Bayou Vista, LA for theft, simple criminal damage to property, and resisting and officer. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista was flagged down by a complainant who stated that a male subject at Extreme Daiquiris was attempting to cash in fake poker machine tickets. Upon arrival the deputy observed a male subject fleeing from the business. After a foot pursuit through the immediate area the deputy apprehended the subject, identified as Ashmore. Ashmore was transported back to the business where he was identified as the subject who attempted to cash in photocopied poker machine tickets. Through the course of the investigation the deputy also learned that when the complainant confronted Ashmore and attempted to detain him, Ashmore dove through an unopened window. Ashmore was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was later transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $2,500.
