According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last reporting period the Sheriff's Office
responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Daniel Harper, 38, 319 Leo Dr. Patterson, LA was arrested on July 16, 2012 at 6:15pm in Bayou Vista
for driving under suspension. A deputy responded to a vehicle crash on Hwy. 90 at Fairview St.
During the investigation the deputy learned that Harper, one of the drivers involved in the crash, had a
suspended drivers' license. Harper was released on a summons to appear in court on October 4, 2012.
Carmen A. Verdun, 29, 1811 K St. Patterson, LA was arrested on July 16, 2012 at 2:26pm at a retail store in
Bayou Vista for theft of goods and warrants for failure to appear. A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting learned from store security that Verdun was observed placing items in her purse. Verdun then attempted to leave the store. The value of the items is about $51. The deputy also learned that Verdun had two outstanding warrants. The suspect was transported to
the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was later released on a $398.50 bond.
Hector R. Santos, 31, 300 Main St. Patterson, LA was arrested on July 16, 2012 at 5:45pm at a casino in Amelia for remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a request to remove a subject who had been banned from the establishment. Upon arrival the deputy learned from casino personnel that Santos entered the casino despite having been permanently banned. Following the
investigation Santos was issued a summons to appear in court on October 4, 2012.
Ernest P. Stratton, Jr., 50, 3432 3rd St. Berwick, LA was arrested on July 16, 2012 at 7:53pm at a residence on Levee Rd. in Morgan City, LA on a warrant for failure to appear for drug court. The suspect was located at the home on Levee Rd. Stratton was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $100,000.
