According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 72 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 107 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Eric J. Daniels 28 yoa of 905 Willow St., Franklin was arrested on 4-27-2012 at 12:53 pm on warrants for Probation Violation and Iberia Parish for Failure to Appear on the charges of Speeding and Possession of Marijuana. The suspect was located in the courthouse, placed under arrest on warrants and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
Alfonso Garcia 56 yoa of 2602 Lake Palourde Road Lot # 13, Amelia, Rigoberto Flores 43 yoa of 10671 Hwy 182, Amelia and Gabrial Aremas 30 yoa of 100 Martin Lane, Amelia were arrested on 4-29-2012 at 10:09 am with Garcia being charged with Aggravated Assault, Flores being charged with Simple Battery and Aremas being charged with Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. A deputy was called to
2602 Lake Palourde RoadvLot #13 in reference to a fight. Upon the deputy's arrival, it was learned that Aremas was speeding down the lane, when he was confronted by Flores and Garcia. During the incident, the suspects were arguing when Flores struck Aremas and they began to fight. It was also learned that Garcia was holding a rifle during the confrontation. After the investigation, the above suspects were placed under arrest with Garcia and Flores being booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 and $500.00 bonds at this time. Aremas was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 7-11-2012.
Woodley J. Duhon III 33 yoa of 284 Cane Road, Franklin was arrested on 4-29-2012 at 10:10 pm for Domestic Abuse Battery, Aggravated Assault and Cruelty to a Juvenile. Deputy was called to above location in reference a domestic disturbance. Upon the deputy's arrival, the victim advised that she returned to her residence when the suspect pulled a gun and advised her to leave. When she started to argue with the suspect he kicked a cabinet door also struck a juvenile child. When victim went to assist child suspect began chocking her. The deputy located the suspect, and after an investigation he was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
