St. Mary Parish Narcotics Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

Charlie Williams, Jr., 35, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 3, 2014 at 11.26 am on the following charges:
-No drivers license
-Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
-Possession of marijuana 2nd offense
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-Warrant for domestic abuse battery, simple criminal damage to property, theft, theft of a motor vehicle

Deputies responding to a complaint of a disturbance at a room in a Bayou Vista motel contacted a narcotics detective to assist with the investigation. The detectives received consent to search the room and located bags of synthetic cannabinoids and marijuana along with rolling papers. During the course of the investigation, the detective learned that the drugs belonged to a suspect who had left the area in a pick-up truck. Deputies located the suspect, identified as Williams, driving down Hwy. 182 in Bayou Vista and stopped the vehicle. The narcotics detective received consent to search the vehicle and located another bag containing a synthetic cannabinoid. Williams does not have a drivers license. Also, Williams has a prior conviction for possession of marijuana. The charges listed on the warrant stem from a separate investigation that began on April 2, 2014 after deputies were called to the same motel in reference to a disturbance. Deputies learned that Williams gained entrance to a room by kicking it. Once inside he struck a female victim in the face. Williams then took the victim's purse and her vehicle and left the area. Williams was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.


Quincy Johnson, 20, 2618 Fifth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 3, 2014 at 9:01 pm on the following charges:
-Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-4 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court

Derrick J. Riley, 25, 306 Laurel Street #2, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 3, 2014 at 9:01 pm for possession of Legend Drug (promethazine).

Narcotics detectives traveling on Hwy. 90 in the Bayou Vista area observed an SUV cross over the white fog line and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with the driver and other occupants of the vehicle. Detectives recognized as Johnson, who had several warrants for his arrest through drug court. Detectives located a bag of synthetic cannabinoids along with several paper wraps on his person. Also during the course of the investigation, another passenger, identified as Riley, was found to be in possession of several promethazine pills. Johnson and Riley were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Johnson's bond is set at $403,500. No bond is set for Riley.


Michael Hickson, 22, 582 Young Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 3, 2014 at 7:04 pm for resisting an officer by flight, disturbing the peace, and on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division observed Michael Hickson walking into a store off of Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. Detectives knew that Hickson was wanted on an active drug court warrant. As detectives attempted to make contact with Hickson, he fled on foot, running through the store from detectives. Detectives apprehended Hickson behind the store. Hickson was transported to parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
