According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Alland E. Spence, 33, 100 Chato Court Apt. 97 Houma, LAwas arrested on March 7, 2014 at 7:02 am on the following charges:
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax)
Possession of Schedule III (Suboxone)
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure use a turn signal 100ft. prior to turning into a business off of Lake Palourde Road in Amelia. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Spence. During the traffic stop investigation, detectives received consent to search Spence's person and located marijuana, a pipe used for smoking, several Suboxone strips, and a Xanax pill. Spence was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.
Brian Derouen, 26, 1224 South Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 7, 2014 at 12:50 pm for possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute and violation of turning movements and required signals.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Narcotics Division were patrolling the Amelia area when they observed a vehicle fail to use the turn signal 100 feet prior to an intersection. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Derouen. During the investigation, detectives located several packs of synthetic cannabinoids. Derouen was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a 25,250 bond.
