According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Christina Breaux, 20, 335 Franklin St. Morgan City, LA, was arrested on July 24, 2013 at 6:12 pm for possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute, distribution of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, and violation of a drug free zone.
Raymond Miller, III, 23, 335 Franklin St. Morgan City, LA, was arrested on July 24, 2013 at 6:12 pm for possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a drug free zone, obstruction of justice, resisting an officer, and on a warrant for probation violation.
Detectives of the SMPSO Narcotics Division observed a vehicle parked at a business on Federal Ave. in Morgan City across the street from a youth baseball park. The vehicle was occupied by Miller. Detectives knew that Miller had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Detectives made contact with Miller and placed him under arrest. Miller then attempted to destroy a bag of synthetic cannabinoids in his possession while pulling away from detectives. Through further investigation, the driver of the vehicle, identified as Breaux, was found to be in possession of several more bags of synthetic cannabinoids. A small child was present in the vehicle at the time the illegal drugs were found. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Breaux's and Miller's residence and located more synthetic cannabinoids and drug paraphernalia items. Breaux and Miller were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set for Miller or Breaux.
