St. Mary Parish Narcotics Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

Hakeemia Bias, 19, 141 Friendship Alley Amelia, LA was arrested on May 24, 2013 at 6:33 pm for possession of of a firearm by a convicted felon, improper lane use, and no driver's license. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were patrolling US Hwy. 90 in the Bayou Vista area. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper lane use and met with the driver, identified as Bias. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a firearm. Bias was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.

Clifton Fletcher, 27, 467 Karla Dr. Thibodaux, LA was arrested on May 15, 2013 at 2:30 pm for possession of marijuana 2nd offense. Narcotics detectives patrolling US Hwy. 90 in the Franklin area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for creating a rolling roadblock. Detectives met with the driver, identified as Fletcher, who was cited for the offense. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located marijuana. Fletcher was transported to parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Rene Garcia, 25, 3110 Lake Palourde Rd. Amelia, LA was arrested on May 25, 2013 at 5:35 pm for possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, obstruction of justice, possession of a fraudulent document, operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States, improper lane use, open container, and no driver's license. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Amelia area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper lane use. Detectives met with the driver, identified as Garcia, who presented detectives with fraudulent identification. Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives located cocaine. There was a six year old child in the vehicle who was released to his mother. Garcia was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
