St. Mary Parish daily arrest report for June 19, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

John Austin, III, 216 Clausen Road South, Verdunville, LA was arrested on June 18, 2014 at 6:25 am for violation of a protective order. A deputy patrolling the Verdunville area responded to the complaint. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Austin violated a protective order by entering onto the property of the subject listed in the court order. The deputy transported Austin to the parish jail for booking. Austin was later released on a $5,000 bond.

Tommy Holt, 30, 15415 Bammel Fields Court, Houston, LA was arrested on June 18, 2014 at 11:09 am on a warrant from Taylor County, TX for theft. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area received information that Holt was wanted on the warrant and located him at a business on Lake Palourde Road. The deputy transported olt to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set.

Kevin Verret, Jr., 34, 1203 Clement Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 18, 2014 at 9:31 am on a warrant for parole violation. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed Verret travelling in a vehicle on Saturn Road. The deputy knew that Verret was wanted on the warrant and stopped the vehicle. Following Verret's arrest, the deputy transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set.

Benjamin Landry, 31, 129 Mary Ann Street, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on June 18, 2014 at 11:09 am on a warrant from Assumption Parish for criminal damage to property and theft. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area was dispatched to Bollinger Lane in reference to a warrant from Assumption Parish. The deputy located Landry, placed him under arrest, and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set.

Devin W. Vining, 20, 102 Griffin Court, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 18, 2014 at 11:21 am on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy transported Vining from Assumption Parish to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. Bond is set at $100,000.

Juvenile male, 16, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 18, 2014 at 8:46 pm for 3 counts simple assault, resisting an officer, disturbing the peace, and criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a disturbance in progress in the Patterson area. Upon arrival, the deputy observed the juvenile male subject standing in the roadway yelling. The juvenile refused the deputy's requests to calm down and was subsequently detained. During the course of the investigation, the deputy received statements indicating that the juvenile made threats against three other subjects. While being detained in the rear of the police unit, the juvenile kicked the door casing damage to the unit. Following the investigation, the deputy transported the juvenile to a local jail facility for housing.

Juenile female, 14, Baldwin, LA was arrested on June 19, 2014 at 12:48 am for disturbing the peace (fighting).
Juvenile female, 14, Four Corners, LA was arrested on June 19, 2014 at 2:25 am for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Yvette Sparrow, 30, 518 Big Four Corners Road, Four Corners, LA was arrested on June 19, 2014 at 2:25 am for simple battery and resisting an officer.

A deputy was dispatched to Baldwin in reference to a fight that occurred on Big Four Corners Road. During the investigation, the deputy learned that two juveniles and Sparrow were involved in a physical altercation. During the fight, Sparrow struck one of the female juveniles. The two juveniles were released to guardians pending juvenile court proceedings. Sparrow was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bond is set at $1,500.

Donald Richard, Jr., 33, 2720 Buxton Drive, Grand Prairie, TX was arrested on June 18, 2014 at 5:53 pm on a warrant for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana 3rd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia. During a traffic stop in Baldwin, Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division made contact with a passenger identified as Richard. Detectives knew that Richard had an active warrant for his arrest. Detectives transported Richard to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set.
