According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Corey Leblanc, 33, 133 Lagonda Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 23, 2014 at 11:02 am for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. A deputy responded to a complaint of the unauthorized entry of a residence on Lagonda Lane. The complainant stated that two subjects were seen exiting the home. After gathering statements from witnesses, the deputy identified one of the subjects as Leblanc. The deputy made contact with Leblanc who admitted that he had entered the home without the permission of the homeowner. The deputy transported Leblanc to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. This case remains open pending the arrest of the second subject seen entering the residence who was also identified during the investigation.
Malcolm L. Green, 26, 198 Kitrich Road, Napoleonville, LA was arrested on July 23, 2014 at 12:21 pm on the following charges:
- Maximum speed limit
- No drivers license
- Theft of goods
- Resisting an officer (giving false information)
- Warrant from Lafourche Parish for theft of goods
Marquail Tillman, 17, 101 Aquart Avenue, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on July 23, 2014 at 12:21 pm for theft of goods.
Jessica Marts, 22, 247 David Drive, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on July 23, 2014 at 12:21 pm for theft of goods.
A deputy working traffic detail on Teche Road in Bayou Vista conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. The deputy made contact with the driver, later identified as Green, and two passengers, identified as Tillman and Marts. During the traffic stop, the deputy received a description from dispatch of a car involved in a shoplifting incident at a store in Bayou Vista. The vehicle description matched the car the deputy pulled over for the traffic violation. Through further investigation, the deputy located two new air conditioners in the trunk of the car that were reported stolen from the store. The deputy also determined that Green gave him a false name and was driving without a license. The deputy transported Green to the parish jail for booking. Green was later transported to Thibodaux on the warrant. Tillman and Marts were released on summonses to appear in court on October 13, 2014. The air conditioners, valued at $325.00, were returned to the store.
Karl L. Davis, 24, 130 Keller Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 23, 2014 at 7:18 pm on a Department of Public Safety and Corrections Division of Probation and Parole warrant for a probation and parole violation. A deputy assisting U.S. Customs agents in executing the warrant, located Davis on a barge on Degravelle Road in Amelia.
The deputy escorted Davis off of the vessel and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
