According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Nancy Scully, 1404 Canal Road Apt. #16, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 6, 2014 at 10:15 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft, 2 counts. A deputy responding to a complaint made contact with Scully and learned of the warrant for her arrest. Scully was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
De Anthony Lewis, 29, 101 Basin Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on March 6, 2014 at 11:22 am on the following charges:
Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
Warrant from Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office for flight from an officer
Warrant from Patterson Police for simple battery
2 warrants from Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office for probation violation and failure to appear on the charge of driving while intoxicated
A deputy transported Lewis from the Lafayette Parish Correctional facility to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. No bond is set.
John Walsh, 33, 196 Cremo Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 6, 2014 at 12:03 pm for possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids). A deputy responded to complaint of a drug law violation at a local drug abuse treatment center. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Walsh was in possession of a packet of synthetic marijuana. Walsh was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $2,000.
Joshua Navy, 26, 269 Verdun Lane Lot #1,Verdunville, LA was arrested on March 6, 2014 at 5:54 pm for domestic abuse battery (strangulation) (juveniles present). A deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Verdun Lane. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Navy and a female subject were involved in an argument when Navy grabbed the female victim by the throat yelling at her. There were 4 juveniles in the room of the residence where the battery occurred. Navy was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
