According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 27 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Sheri Tabb, 34, 106 Genevieve Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 6, 2014 at 9:07 am on a warrant for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy made contact with Tabb at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin and learned of the active warrant. The warrant dated July 2013 stems from an investigation into a complaint of dogs running loose in a neighborhood. She was released on a summons to appear in court on May 22, 2014.
Bernie Metrejean, 39, 722 Shell Road, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on February 6, 2014 at 11:20 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone) with intent to distribute. A deputy at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse made contact with Metrejean and identified him as having an active warrant for his arrest. Metrejean was booked on the charge and transported to Iberville Parish Jail where he is incarcerated on unrelated charges.
Gia Dardeau, 29, 712 Toups Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on February 6, 2014 at 2:46 pm on the following charges:
Warrant for theft of assets of an aged person, identity theft, and unauthorized use of an access card
Warrant for theft (over $500)
After learning of the warrants for her arrest, Dardeau turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City. A deputy investigating a complaint of theft on January 8, 2014 discovered that Dardeau stole a bank card from an 83 year old male victim and later used the card at two local businesses. This is the second arrest made in this investigation. (See January 28, 2014 report for additional information.) Dardeau was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
