St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Leanna M. Steele 33 yoa of 1029 Shaw Dr., Morgan City was arrested on 5-3-2012 at 3:21 pm for Theft by Shoplifting. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference a shoplifter. Upon the deputy's arrival store security advised that the suspect was observed concealing items in her purse valued at $43.98. After an investigation the suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 8-17-2012.

Joie Adams 31 yoa of 300 Main St., # 4, Patterson was arrested on 5-3-2012 at 8:34 pm for DWI, Careless Operation, Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Clonazepam, Possession of Soma and Possession of CDs in the Presence of a Juvenile. A deputy was called to
Arlington Road at Fairview St. in Bayou Vista in reference to an accident. Upon the deputy's arrival the suspect was located, and noticed to be unsteady on her feet and had a slurred speech. During the investigation it was learned that the suspect had taken medication. The suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Berwick Police Department in to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. The suspect had BAC and was then asked to submit to blood and urine samples, which she refused. the suspect was booked into the parish jail. During a search of suspect, several pills were located on the suspect. After an investigation the suspect was additionally charged and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Darius Henry 20 yoa of 305 Ninth St., Franklin and Joshua Brown 23 yoa of 1901 Pine St. #5, Franklin were arrested on 5-3-2012 9:09 pm for Off Road Vehicle on Roadway. A deputy was called of Four Wheelers riding on Hwy 317. The deputy located three four wheelers at 1032 Hwy 317 in Centerville, the deputy attempted to flag them down when one suspect fled from scene and was lost in the cane field. The deputy made contact with the other two suspects and after investigation, they were placed under arrest and issued summons to appear in court on 8-17-2011.
