According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to complaints and reports the following arrests:
Andrew Hebert, 21, 114 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 19, 2013 at 10:00 am for aggravated domestic abuse battery, 2nd offense. Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Lake Palourde Road. Upon arrival, deputies saw a female subject with blood on her face and an injury to her nose. The female victim refused medical treatment. During the course of the investigation, deputies determined that during an argument Hebert became violent throwing an object and striking the female victim in the face. A BOLO(be on the lookout) advisory was immediately sent out for Hebert who had left the residence before deputies arrived. Further investigation revealed that Hebert had also thrown a television to the floor and broke a window and door of a vehicle before leaving. Children were present in the home at the time. After the BOLO was released, deputies were notified by Berwick Police that Hebert had been located. After speaking with Hebert, deputies transported him to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. A picture of Hebert is included.
Charles Spencer, 57, 519 Martin Luther King Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 19, 2013 at 11:08 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension. Spencer turned himself at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin after learning of the warrant for arrest. Spencer was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Humberto Zuniga, 27, 805 Cypress Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 19, 2013 at 10:52 pm for possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and obstruction of justice. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182. During the traffic stop investigation, the deputy observed a passenger with an open bottle of beer. The passenger was identified as Zuniga. When the deputy asked Zuniga to step out of the vehicle, he attempted to dispose of the beer by throwing it behind the car. Zuniga was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $1,500.
Ryan Louviere, 31, 131 Schawn Lane Centerville, LA was arrested on September 19, 2013 at 6:57pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Keith Derouen, 42, 131 Schawn Lane Centerville, LA was arrested on September 19, 2013 at 6:57pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.
While investigating an anonymous tip, detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division received consent to search Derouen and Louviere's residence. During the search, detectives located items of drug paraphernalia including pipes and rolling papers used to smoke illegal drugs. Louviere and Derouen were released on summonses to appear in court on December 11, 2013.
