St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 127 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Brandon Willis, 200 Merchant Blvd., Lafayette, LA was arrested on July 19, 2013 at 1:29 pm on a warrant failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and no tail lights. Willis was transported from the Franklin Police Department to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.

Louis Bourque, 27, 2001 2nd Street #8, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 19, 2013 at 8:20 pm for violation of protective orders and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. A deputy responded to a complaint of a violation of a protective order. During the investigation, the deputy discovered that Bourque made contact with the holder of the protective order via multiple text messages. Bourque was located at his residence. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Johnny Cancienne, 43, 3367 Hwy. 1, Napoleonville, LA was arrested on July 19, 2013 at 11:05 pm for disturbing the peace and resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a 911 hang up call at the Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with security personnel and learned that Cancienne was asked to leave the establishment. The deputy made contact with Cancienne and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. During the course of the investigation, Cancienne continued to curse despite being repeatedly asked to stop by the deputy. Cancienne resisted the deputy during the arrest. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,250 bond.

Randy Turner, 36, 1219 Memory Lane, Houma, LA was arrested on July 20, 2013 at 8:44 pm for theft of goods.

Genell Boyd, 36, 126 Turtle Court, Houma, LA was arrested on July 20, 2013 at 8:44 pm for theft of goods (over $500).

Juvenile female, 13, Houma was arrested on July 20, 2013 at 8:44 pm for theft of goods.

Juvenile male, 15, Houma was arrested on July 20, 2013 at 8:44 pm for theft of goods.

A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store security that Boyd and the two juveniles were observed taking several items from their packaging and concealing them on their persons. Turner was observed leaving the store with a television without paying for the item. Turner was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. Boyd was released on a summons to appear in court on October 9, 2013. The two juveniles were released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Justin Scarborough, 21, 1232 Delmar Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 21, 2013 at 6:39 am for disturbing the peace.

Krystal Meranta, 24, 124 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 21, 2013 at 6:40 am for disturbing the peace and on a warrant for failure to appear.

A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance on Clarke Road in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that the Scarborough and Meranta were involved in a loud verbal argument. The two were yelling vulgar and obscene language. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Scarborough was released on a $500 bond. Meranta was released on a $839.50 bond.

Joseph Butler, Jr., 56, 502 Cleveland St., Patterson, LA was arrested on July 19, 2013 at 5:26 pm on a warrant for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Detectives of the St Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division located Butler at the corner of Pecos St. and Railroad Ave in Morgan City. Detectives had knowledge of an active warrant for Butler's arrest for the charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Butler was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
