St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Tina L. Edward, 46, 300 Rod Lane #3 Baldwin, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 10:25 am on warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Edward at her residence on the warrants. She was released on a summons to appear in court on May 31, 2013.

Linda F. Jackson, 47, 102 Van Buren Drive Lafayette, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 12:51 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Jackson at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on the warrant. Jackson was released on a summons to appear in court on April 19, 2013.

Jeremy Hall, 22, 120 Cherry Street Patterson, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 1:50 pm for proper equipment required, condition of windshield, driving under suspension, unsafe condition, obstruction to driver's view, possession of marijuana, and two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana.

Dontrell Williams, 19, 316 Ellis Street Patterson, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 1:50 pm for possession of marijuana, obstruction of justice, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone.

A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle on Belleview Street with no driver's side mirror and a cracked windshield. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, identified as Hall, and the passenger, identified as Williams. Through the course of the traffic stop investigation the deputy discovered that Hall's driver's license was suspended. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located marijuana. Narcotics Detectives were then contacted to render assistance. During a search of Williams' person, he dropped a bag and attempted to cover it with his foot. The bag was recovered and found to contain marijuana. It was also learned that Hall had active warrants for his arrest. As the deputy attempted to detain Hall, he fled on foot onto nearby church grounds. Hall was quickly apprehended. He and Williams were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Lamonica Givens, 41, 5003 Bayou Black Drive Gibson, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 1:23 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A observed a vehicle driving through the median to turn around on Hwy. 90 in Amelia and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver and identified her as Givens who was wanted on a warrant. Givens was released on a summons to appear in court on June 12, 2013.

Jermaine Joseph Gaskins, 32, 129 1/2 Friendship Alley Amelia, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 5:59 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery and theft. A deputy located Gaskins on Friendship Alley on the warrant. Gaskins was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Michael Federer, Jr., 22, 201 1/2 Hwy. 182 Patterson, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 8:09 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a battery on Hwy. 182 in Patterson. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that during a verbal argument, Federer pushed a female victim. Federer was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $500.

Willie Vallet, Jr., 45, 170 Verdun Ln Verdunville, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 6:13 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Narcotics Division were patrolling Verdun Ln. when they observed a vehicle parked in the oncoming lane of traffic. Detectives made contact with teh driver and identified him as Vallet. Vallet could not produce a valid drivers license. While conducting an inventory incident to towing the vehicle, detectives located a crack pipe. Vallet was released on a summons to appear in court on June 12, 2013.

Brett Michael Sanders, 22, 429 Lagonda Rd. Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 14, 2013 at 8:11 pm for possession Schedule III (Subutex), possession of synthetic cannabinoids 2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and abuse of toxic vapors. Narcotics Detectives patrolling the Berwick area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to signal on Canton St. The driver was identified as Sanders. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located Subutex pills, synthetic cannabinoids, and a pipe. Sanders was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
