According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:
John K. Buck Jr. 25 yoa of 266 Ricohoc Dr., Franklin and William J. Roberson Jr. 26 yoa of 107 Homestead Lane # 3, Patterson were arrested on 2-23-2012 at 9:26 am for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things with Roberson also being charged with Resisting an Officer by Flight, Resisting an Officer by Refusing to give Information and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. Suspects were arrested after an investigation into the theft of a dirt bike that was reported on 2-19-2012. Suspects were arrested at
708 Brashear Ave.
in Morgan City when they went to Location to pick up dirt bike that was being repaired. Suspects were placed under arrest, during investigation Roberson refused to give his name and after being arrested attempted to flee on foot. When Roberson was apprehended he was found to be in possession of several bags of marijuana. Suspects were booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.
Kenneth W. Litteral 30 yoa of 443 Texas St., Berwick, La. was arrested on 2-23-2012 at 11:36 am on warrants for Issuing Worthless Checks and Failure to Appear on the charge of DWI. Suspect turned himself into the Sheriff's Office and was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
Justin Bergeron 21 yoa of 113 Hunting Lane, Bayou L'Ourse, La., was arrested on 2-23-2012 at 12:17 pm on a warrant for Disturbing the peace by Fighting. Suspect turned himself into the Sheriff's Office, was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond and was later released.
Kayla L. Gros 23 yoa of 1318 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia was arrested on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 5-23-2012.
Phillip Aucoin 41 yoa of 213 Ford Industrial Road, Amelia was arrested on 2-24-2012 at 1:48 am for Aggravated Battery. Deputy was called to Winston's Services in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned from complainant that he and suspect were arguing when suspect picked up the TV throwing it at him striking him in the forehead. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
